Introducing a new series: “Technology and the Politics of Human Rights”

We welcome your submissions on a series of articles that discuss issues relevant to migration and mobility at the intersection of technology, politics, and human rights. The articles may cover a range of topics pertinent to the theme of the series, but a few questions you might consider include: What are the implications of AI, ML, and other emerging technologies on human flows, particularly those of refugees and migrants? What are the human rights impacts of technological experiments on refugee and migration management? More broadly, how might digital technologies promote respecting, versus undermining or violating, human rights? And how should we think about modernizing and elaborating upon the human rights normative framework to pertain to this increasingly digitized world?

Feel free to reach out to centreghum@gmail.com with any questions or suggestions. We look forward to receiving your submissions!
